I was looking on eBay and on LatestSatNav - where the prices are between £25 and £35, almost 90% lower than asking authorized trained specialist. Need an update as V7 is not very reliable in terms of too many road changes to date - way too often my Satnav shows I am driving off road when I drive using a common sense or knowing that area. Just want to ask if anyone can confirm my logic is correct - not quite sure whether some extra security measure was installed into Rapid's sat navs.not likely but possible. I can't see any reason why would Rapid be any different as long as it's RNS 315 sat nav, same as in other models? Anyway, price-tag over £200 and was told that it has to be done by a specialist (meaning dealer) and that there is no other way to do it - and that buying the SD card would not work. Via dealer the update is just ridiculous as to the price - I don't understand why this service is not free of charge via online self-service like other models. Trying to get a new maps update to my RNS 315 in my Rapid (2015) - I have V7 and as I can see, reading this thread, V9 would be the go for option.
